This fundraiser is hosted by the St’át’imc Nation through our government organization, St’át’imc Government Services (SGS). SGS is a non-profit organization located in the northern St’át’imc Territory, in Lillooet BC. We are devoted to making a difference for our St’át’imc members and communities, and one of our goals is to continually strive to provide scholarships to our members of lifelong learners attending post-secondary for education, skills, and training programs.

We are seeking donations and/or team sponsorships in the upcoming tournament, all funds raised from the campaign will be 100% used to providing awards for our scholarship recipients. Our scholarship program relies on the on-going support from our generous donors such as yourself, and any donation you provide will contribute to the success of our future learners.

Golf tournament spots are limited. It is on a first come first serve basis.

If you are playing in the tournament your completed form and payment are due by Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at 4pm PST. Failure to get your payment in on time can lose you your spot in the tournament. Thank you for your understanding.

The impact of our St’át’imc Scholarship

We have fundraised $201,225 in scholarships since 2014 and have helped many St’át’imc members with their pursuit of higher education and lifelong learning.

I have been very fortunate to have the Xaxli’p Education Committee provide funding for my tuition and books, as well as a monthly allowance for living expenses. However, the costs of living have increased dramatically due to high inflation rates. The living allowance just barely covers one month’s rent for my dormitory at the University of Alberta. I have continued with online research for the Stanford Ophthalmology Department and the UBC Ophthalmology Department during the summer break. These research opportunities, though not compensated, will significantly impact my application for medical specialization and residency.
